So what is so cool about your age?

Do you want to put your age in perspective?
Put your birth date in the pop up window after you click on the link below.
What happens is pretty interesting. It is also amazing how quickly it computes!!
Very cool!

I was:
*two years old when Hawaii was admitted as a state.
*six years old when President Kennedy was assassinated.
*eleven years old when man first stepped on the moon.
*eighteen years old when the US celebrated the bicentennial.
*twenty-eight years old when the space shuttle, Challenger exploded.
*thirty-two years old when the Berlin wall came down.
*forty years old when Princess Diana died.
forty-four years old when the WTC towers came down.

Damn... I'm old! Believe it or not, I remember all of them except the first one.

Have a good weekend, sweetie... and Happy St. Patty's Day to you!

I was looking forward to pinching you, but you're wearing green!

As a robot, age is immaterial to me. That's why I'm from the future.

Lee Ann said...

Jiggs ~ Oh! Well, you can still pinch me, just be gentle ;)

Gyro ~ Yes, you are back from the future...and we haven't had this conversation yet. :)

I say!

Can you tell me, Lee Ann, does one enter the date in the order: day then month then (obviously) year, or month then day then year?

I believe the USA preference in this respect is different from elsewhere. Most confusing. Surely it is logical to work outwards, positioning the day first.

The Australian method of referring to wickets and then runs, is different to the English method of referring firstly to runs and then wickets.

i.e. if the Australian cricketers found themselves to be "two for eight", in Australia this would be far better than in England, where it would imply that Australia were almost all out for a very lowly score.

Of course, here in Kalimbuka, we prefer the English methods for both dates and scores.

MM III

Lee Ann said...

BC ~ Hehe, you are young! :)

Captain ~ Cappy, you are the sweetest Captain anywhere!

MMIII ~ The date will be:
3(month)/19 (day)/06 (year). I know we do it differently here. Sometimes you must make the month two digits (ex. 03 instead of 3)and sometimes the year has to be four digits instead of two (ex. 2006 instead of 06), but most of the time in the same order.
Isn't it interesting how things are referred to differently all around the world!

Oh I forgot to tell you, "Nice boobs."

As if it mattered.

When you are a member of the upper echelon of blogging royalty, age matters as much as the needs of the peasantry. And do you know what? I don't care all that much for the peasantry. Not much at all.

Lee Ann said...

Hippo ~ Aw thank you, and why wouldn't it matter?

Majesty ~ Me either! ;)
