Thank you all so much for your prayers, well-wishes and love.
I did fine with the surgery and am recovering nicely. I am up and about, but have a tendency to overdo it a bit. So, when that happens, I take a pain pill and go to bed for a while. (Thank heavens for the pain pill!)
I have to share something that happened during my surgery.
Right before they "knocked me out", the anesthesiologist said he was going to give me something to relax me before giving me the anesthesia....Ahhhhh Demerol....that distinct feeling swirling around my head.
Now, I am feeling relaxed....ugh...wait!!!!! I can barely breathe! Oh My Gosh....seriously, I feel like I am suffocating!
I think they put the anesthesia tube down my throat before I was completely asleep and I felt like I could not breathe. I tried with all my might to make a sound or move my arms or feet, but it was almost as if I was plastered down to the table.
HELP! I CANNOT BREATHE!!
Fear was running through my body as I lie there helpless.
My final thought before drifting off to sleep was that I was hooked up to machines and they would know when I actually stopped breathing. (hopefully)
The next thing I remember is someone saying loudly "Lee Ann you are waking up, you are in the recovery room".
I am not going into all the details now, but I do remember them saying, "we are going to give you something for the pain". [she's not allergic to morphine, is she?]
I have to say that feeling of suffocating and feeling helpless was one of the scariest feelings!
I am home for another week, then I will be going back to work. I will be glad to feel normal again (if there is such a thing).
Thank you again, for all the love, support and well-wishes.
Love and hugs to you all!
Lee Ann

I'm glad you're home, safe and sound, LeeAnn
How I relate! The bed rest is SO important. You will heal fine and I'm very relieved! (((HUGS)))!
Hallo LeeAnn, I have been checking in to see if you came through OK. Relieved that you survived. Take your time recovering. ion x
Thank Jesus (and skill) that you're ok. I've heard a few horror stories of "not being under" during surgery...
Rest sweety!
Don't rush back BG, I have missed you.....Sooooo Goooood to see you back and that everything went ok.
Thank God you're no deid! (That's Scottish for dead). I was thinking of your previous fears in your latter posts, and thinking there will be nothing really scary, just a routine. So then it turns into some Stephen King nightmare, The Alien with the tubes down the throat, etc. Feeling paralysed! Do you pay them or do they pay you? Only joking! Wonderful to hear they didn't get you! Hotboy
wow! I'm so glad you are ok Lee Ann and I'm sorry you felt that panic for a short while. That is awful. My sister stopped breathing on morphine after surgery and they had to get the paddles out on her! She was ok though. Anyway, good to have you back and take it easy!!
leann: that part of surgery - the anesthesia and all tha goes with it is kinda freaky. But I'm glad it went well otherwise and that you're feeling better.
Thank God for painkillers...
Glad you made it through okay. I've had a few surgeries and each time I tell them to make sure I'm asleep before they do anything. So far so good. Hopefully I never have to say those words ever again.
Glad you didn't die on the table! Hope your return to work goes smoothly!
hope you are feeling ok.. beautiful pic
Sounds like the paralysing drugs kicked in while you were still aware. That's a nightmare! But you live in America, you can sue and retire on the proceeds. Everything balances up.
Happy healing, and be good to yourself.
Breathe deep.
Hugs and kisses i hope you fell better soon !!!
Whew! Glad that's over and, most importantly, that you're okay. Hope you're recovering nicely! :)
Great to have you back. You take such great photos. The camera loves you.
get to 100 % soon! Cheers!
welcome back, hugs and love to u :)
Glad to see this post because I know that you are back safe and sound! :)
Welcome back tall dark and sexy.
Hi Sweetie,
I'm so glad that you are okay and that you are recovering.
My prayers are always with you.
Glad you got through it all and can just recover. That experience beforehand was horrible. I sure hope you brought it to their attention so next time they will knock the patient out first.
I'm glad everything went well!
And enjoy those pain pills while they last! What are you on...percocet or something even better? :)
Glad you pulled through. Stop overdoing it -- I know how hard that is though....
Ah, I'm glad you got to experience the pleasures of Demerol. And then Morphine. Get plenty of rest and make sure the Castle Servants wait on you hand and foot. ;-)
What?!
*hug × 100!*
This happens every time I leave the blog realm for a month... or two...
Health! Better! You!
Safe and quick recovery! I demand it!
I'm glad it went well (despite the scare). I hope the healing continues!

Scary enough, that happens a lot with anesthesia. Glad you are feeling well. Take it EASY!
Lee Ann - Welcome back, hope you're feeling better. Sounds like you went through a lot. Rest my friend.
Peace & Hugs,

hey! Glad to know you are getting better. I know what you mean about going under. They did it for my wisdom teeth, and sometimes I wish I had them back. Any how, you are alright now.
I love you all!
Thank you so much...I am making my way back, slowly but surely!
Have a great week!
Hugs,
Lee Ann
WELCOME BACK! That feeling has to be awful, feeling that you cannot breathe yet not be able to even voice it....
