Look what I saw the other morning on my way home from the gym.
This little fella was sitting in the middle of the road.
Fortunately it was very early in the morning so there was not a lot of traffic.
I did not want to scare the little thing, so I backed up and shone my headlights on him until he finally trotted off to the grass on the side of the road.
Can you see "Rocky"?
It was the cutest little thing. It sat there just looking up at me with those big eyes. He let me take several pictures, but it was so dark, they did not turn out too good. Plus it was taken with my phone camera.
Have a good day!

I'm first! What a great wee story and photie. I suppose we killed most of our wildlife hundreds of years ago. Sometimes you see an urban fox! Have a great week. Hotboy p.s. I'm impressed at you being in the gym that early!
Cute, perhaps--but dangerous. Remember that they are wild scavengers that often carry rabies. Fun to look at, not fun to play with!
raccoons are cute. I have a relative that feeds them. she gives them cookies and they scamper off and eat them.
Awww. We see them a lot. David's right, they are major rabies carriers, but they are SO cute and they actually make good pets (if you get them when they're babies). My ex hubby had some as pets when he was young (their mom had been crushed by a tree in a storm).
I say!
Looks a bit like a civet.

Yay, you saved his life!!
I never knew you had kangaroos there.
We had one that was so used to people that he would just walk through the yard in the middle of the day. He'd stop, look at you, scratch his butt and then head on his merry way.
Then we got the dogs...
We have a Rocky and Rockette here, of course most of the time we see them hanging from a limb by their back legs and gathering stuff from the bird feeders! They are clever and entertaining!
