My visit to Dallas

I had such a great weekend. I went to Dallas to visit Kay Ray. With wonderful hospitality, she showed me the city. We went to South Fork Ranch. That was so cool. Did any of you ever watch the old tv show "Dallas". They play the theme music throughout the ranch. Then later that night, we went bull riding at Billy Bobs. Oh my gosh, talk about fun! I would have never guessed how much fun it could be. Kay Ray is a pro at bull riding. Me on the other hand, well, just put it this way, I would have had you laughing for sure. By the end of the night I was riding that bull for more than "eight seconds" haha.
She has a great group of friends, they took this picture before I was ready, but we had a blast.
She is trying to get me to move to Dallas but it is just not in the works for me at this point! Next time, she is going to have to come visit me here in Birmingham.
Thanks for such a great time Kay Ray!
Love ya

Dallas is the 6th fattest city in America.

Sounds fun. I hope there were at least some pseudo-lesbian "brush up against each other accidentally on purpose" encounters.

What? No? Bah.

"Old" TV show? C'mon, Dallas can't be that old. Or, maybe I am and just don't want to admit it. *sigh*

Live fast.
Die young.
Bull rider.

The last time I was in Dallas, I was with my ex and we were staying at her gay friend's place in the Dallas' gayborhood.

And we went to six flags.

Fred ~ Well, it was kind of a long time ago, wasn't it? haha

Jiggs ~ Ride 'em cowboy (or cowgirl)!!
Last time I was in Dallas, I got a "grade 3" tear of all my ligaments and tendons in my right foot all the way up to my knee. I had to leave the "Texas Jam" (huge concert in the Cotton bowl) early and then I spent 14 weeks in a fiberglass cast with crutches...then another year to heal. :(

I simply cannot believe that you and Kay Ray were hanging out together and you didn't call me baby. I so would have stolen a credit card to get down there.

Lee Ann said...

Calzone baby, now that would have been even MORE fun. I just wish you would have called!!!!

Wow, I wonder if I will ever meet any fellow bloggers. I thought I saw Calzone today, but it was just a stuffed toy turkey.

How nice to be able to get away for a few days... it sounds like you both had a wonderful time. Good for you!

Wow Spinning ~ Amazingly, I thought I saw Calzone the other day too. When I got closer it was actually a lizard.

There's something funny about this photo. I can't quite put my finger on it. It's almost like someone took a pic of you and a separate one of kay ray and put them together in photoshop.

Lee Ann said...

Jiggs, why would you say that? If you look above to my comment back to Hotboy, I even linked Billy Bobs, where we went bull riding!

Kay Ray, Billy Bob, sounds like Texas all right ;)

hotboy said...

So it is actually riding bulls! Thank god I don't live near something like that. How could one resist? Hotboy

Sounds like a great time. I am in Dallas rigth now until Thursday. I won't be doing any bullriding, but I may be providing some...

Lee Ann said...

rm ~ Maybe some day I will see for myself!

Hotboy ~ I think you would have to have a pretty flexible body to do that!

Bl ~ haha, well just be careful!

Glad you two had fun with no major injuries to report. Was there alcohol involved? and bull riding? Almost sounds like my family reunions...

Bill said...

Hey...will there be a combined HNT this week???

Lee Ann said...

Hey Bill ~ I am guessing it was fun... no alcohol with that visit!

I can even visit you via photoshop!!!!
Have you been keeping up with HNT? It is fun, you should join me! ;)

There is happens to be a pic on Kay Ray's blog that is surprisingly similar to the one you posted here. But with a different person. It's funny that kay ray takes pics the same way with different people.

That rocks so hard that you got to go to South Fork Ranch. Did you get any pictures?

jiggs said...

Did I ever tell you that I'm pretty good with photoshop? Not great, but I know some basic stuff.

Lee Ann said...

Hey Brooks! I haven't seen you for a while. I like that you have put your name there. (I love the name Brooks).

Jiggs ~ Really? Maybe you can help me with it some. I have some questions.
