Where I grew up
Here is a more accurate picture of the mountains in Birmingham.
The first picture was used as a reference to the word "Mountain" because I grew up in Mountain Brook, Alabama. (These pictures speak the actual word).
I believe people were getting the wrong concept.
So, below are actual pictures of Birmingham, the mountains and the brooks! ;)

Mountain Brook looks fabulous! I had no idea Alabama looked so nice. Hotboy
You speak in pictorials a great deal. I like that!
If you like candles, you should click on the candles link in my blog today. I adore them, and craft them as a hobby,
Fave food- sushi
Fave song- too many to list
Fave smell- a man straight from the shower (love that soap smell), and the way the air smells after a good rain.

crall ~ exotic foods, and natural smells! Those are good ones...
Have a good Friday!
Hotboy ~ It is beautiful here! Have a super Friday!
Sauerkraut ~ I have been doing a lot of pictorials lately...hmmm (more than usual) I love the smell of vanilla candles, so much! Have a great Friday!
Jef ~ Can you not see the pics? I am not sure what letters you are talking about...sorry!
Alie ~ sushi...I have tried to like it, it just has not ever settled too well with me. I too have so many favorite songs, and your favorite smell is definitely one of my top favorites too(especially the cleansmelling man):) Have a wonderful Friday!
Zombie ~ haha, I know what you are trying to do!!!! cute and funny you are :) I try to think of pictures that might not be too boring, as I am very modest!
That's not what you said your favorite smell was last night baby.
I miss you.
calzone ~ oh, baby....that is our secret, right? I miss you too! Hope you are having a fabulous Friday.
I am not being condescending, but do you also wish people a good FRiday as part of your job? I ask, because I notice that you wish good Fridays often...
Hey Crall ~ No, that is not part of my job. I usually don't post during the weekend, so I always like to make sure I wish all of my friends well. (You guys are my friends, right?) I feel it is important to say certain things in life. Tell people they are your friends, or you miss them, or you love them, to be careful or stay safe. You know, I don't like having any regrets...just in case....
I do the same for my friends outside of the Land of Blog!
Zombie ~ You are definitely one of my favorites. :)
Alabama rocks!!
I guess my favorite things would be:
Food: French Fries
Song: No parkin on the dancefloor by Midnight Star LOL
Smell: Fabric Softner
Drink: Any German Reisling wine
Lee Ann- Have you had good sushi? Sometimes people don't like it because it's second rate. But, alas, I can't convert everyone, so that's OK! And there's nothing better than a good smelling man, if he doesn't smell like soap, then he's gotta smell like Old Spice or Hugo Boss....mmmmm
Kay Ray ~ oh yes, fabric softener is a good smell. One time a lady(customer) in the bookstore (when I used to work there part time) said, "your clothes smell so nice". I thought that was a funny way of telling me that I smelled good.
Ali ~ I have had california rolls that were not too bad once. The other time, it was not so good. (I heard that you are a novice if that is all you like).
As far as my favorite man cologne, is the one pictured "Mambo"! OMG! I could just lick the smell right off my boyfriend when he has it on. *giggle*
Frank ~ OMG! Is that you? You are a babe!!!!
Dr. Pepper is my favorite soft drink> I think Pepsi tastes like ass. and not in a good way.
I think Carl is jealous of our rapport, lee ann.
Hey muffin ~ I don't like pepsi so much, but I like Mt.Dew (which is a pepsi product). Why do you say that about Carl? Where is Carl anyway? I haven't heard from him today....he is one of my favs!
Lee Ann- Don't worry, I don't think you're a novice for liking Cali Rolls, I'm not a fan of them just because they get messy with the seaweed. Haven't smelled the Mambo yet.
They have mountains in Alabama?
Pirate ~ Hey! Thank you for stopping by! I have put a revised picture of the mountainous land we have here in Birmingham. We do not have mountains like Utah and Colorado here, but they are very beautiful, nevertheless. Come back by again!
Have a good Friday lee ann
Yeah, I suppose we're friends... in an electronic, semi-plastic way. I've found though when I've made "Friends" on the internet, that it feels strange and empty, when compared to real life friends.
But I'm sure if we met in person, we'd get along.
Alistair ~ Thank you, you too!
Crall ~ I know what you are saying, nothing can take the place of a warm bodied, real life, friend. Somehow it is comforting when I see all of you guys online. It's like seeing a familiar face.
That's a great wee philosophy, about saying things to people while you can.
What a nice name your grandma has, but unusual - Lavender Green-Pool. Rhymes with gene pool. Ho-ho.
Rob ~ haha, you are the first one that has even commented on my Grandmother's name. That is a crape myrtle tree and a picture of myrtle beach.....does that give you a hint? (definitely one of those old timey names)
Lee Ann- I'm with you on the song,
"I'll Be" is one of my favotites as well. Favorite smell: gardinia.
And favorite drink: milk or tea.
(I've got a post on that on my blog... so funny you should bring it up!)
I saw edwin mccain on your profile and for some reason thought that that was the guy who did "war"
you know,
"what is it good for?"
wow, I am an idiot
the idiot
I've been trying to figure out your Grandma's name for the past 24 hours. I thought maybe Violet. You're tricky, Lee Ann. Veeerrrryyy tricky.
I'm off to have a cup of my favorite drink now. With just about a teaspoon of sugar. Yes, that's right, it's battery acid.
Ellen ~ you may find this interesting since you are from Atlanta. A couple of years ago, I was visiting family in Atlanta for Thanksgiving. We went to a mall for the opening of the Christmas holiday season. The Rockettes were there, then all of the sudden, they introduced Edwin McCain on stage, and he sang I'll Be. I couldn't believe it, I was so excited. He was one of my favorites at the time and still is. That was such a treat for me.
The idiot ~ no worries, it's ok!
Dave ~ I can be a little "trickster" sometimes! hehe
Isn't that battery acid a little tough on your stomach? "Bottoms up"! Have a super day.
Lee Ann- Boy talk about synchronicity... being in the right place at the right time, and having your favorite song playing!
By the way, it was a steller year for crepe myrtles this year in ATL, and I noticed in Alabama as well. I went to Ft. Payne, to visit in-laws in August and commented on that to my Mother-in-law. She's a gardener as well, and agreed heartily.
PS- Many thanks for the link, Lee Ann! I just noticed it this morning as I was updating.
I am a traveler to your castle often and enjoy your very diverse posts and comments. It's always a joy to read!
Of the items I saw, the wine would make me forget about the rest of it! Hahaha!
Sorry, do I have favorites? I can't think...
No favorite food
nor drink (water)
song... impossible
See! What a dullard is Ticharu!
Ellen ~ I am glad to get the chance to start knowing you. Thank you.
Tich ~ Hey, you are not dull. It just shows that you enjoy life too much to break it down into specifics. ;)
Dear Lee Ann,
It looks very green in the first photograph. You must get a lot of mvula (rain).
There has been a little more here, and more is on the way. Let us hope it continues for some time.
I may even need to cover the wicket!
MM III
MMIII ~ We do go through periods of a rainy season. However, it hasn't rained too much here lately. It is not that green during this season. Currently there is a lot of red, gold, amber, brown and some green(the pines always look green), but the grass is getting ready to go into the dormant season. I love autumn, the colors are so beautiful. I hope you get the rain needed where you are.
I get so turned on when you talk about the weather. It makes me think of you in a raincoat and rubber boots.
