A fairytale

Once upon a time, in a land far away, a beautiful, independent, self-assured princess

~~~~~~~~
happened upon a frog as she sat,
~~~~~~~~

contemplating ecological issues

~~~~~~~~
on the shores of an unpolluted pond
~~~~~~~~

in a verdant meadow near her castle.

~~~~~~~~
The frog hopped into the princess' lap
~~~~~~~~

and said: " Elegant Lady,

~~~~~~~~
I was once a handsome prince,
~~~~~~~~

until an evil witch cast a spell upon me.

~~~~~~~~
One kiss from you, however,
~~~~~~~~

and I will turn back

~~~~~~~~
into the dapper, young prince that I am
~~~~~~~~

and then, my sweet, we can marry

~~~~~~~~
and set up housekeeping in your castle
~~~~~~~~

with my mother,

~~~~~~~~
where you can prepare my meals,
~~~~~~~~

clean my clothes, bear my children,

~~~~~~~~
and forever
~~~~~~~~

feel grateful and happy doing so. "

~~~~~~~~
That night,
~~~~~~~~

as the princess dined sumptuously

~~~~~~~~
on lightly sauteed frog legs
~~~~~~~~

seasoned in a white wine

~~~~~~~
and onion cream sauce,
~~~~~~~~

she chuckled and thought to herself:

~~~~~~~~
I don't think so!
It seems there should be a moral to this story, is there?
Oh wait....it is just a fairytale! ;)
That first castle looks quite Scottish.
Thanks, the week is going okay so far at this end. Nothing to report as yet. Things could be worse. Have a good one.
Loved this post! But we mustn't be disrespectful to those who are born to reign over us! Certainly not! Off with their heads and up the republic! Hotboy
I loved this story, especially the part where the Princess dined on frog legs in white wine and onion cream sauce. Too funny! This will teach those Prince's turned into frogs to not be so uppity!
LOL, that is totally funny!
I say!
The pile in the first snap looks familiar. Sure I've stayed there.
What a handsome chap Di's lad has turned into. Thank goodness he doesn't take after his pater.
What a nice story, Lee Ann. Is it a true story?
I must say - how nice it is to be back in the UK. There are Internet cafes everywhere, allowing me to log on, etc. This particular one serves excellent croissants, which are not known in Kandodo.
Two things I notice, here in the UK:
Many gentlemen have shaved haircuts.
Many yound women now wear clothes that reveal their tummies. Even in the street!
On the latter, I will discuss with Doviko on my return. I expect his opinion will be that they are demonstrating that they are not pregnant, and therefore seeking husbands, in a similar mode to the Musri women of Southern Ethiopia.
That was very nice Lee Ann. I understand though, princes who were once frogs have a secret taste for flies that they never quite shake!
**Peace and hugs to you Babygirl ... you are a Princess to Rasta!**
Rasta kicked his mother out, he cooks for both of us, he does his own laundry, and he doesn't want kids! Eligible?
