I do it all the time, then later, maybe a year or so, I see it in the store or on tv.
Someone else takes my idea!

- I am a middle child, so that says a lot. I don't like conflict or dishonesty. In a group, I am the one that would be sitting back and observing everyone. I'll have to get back to you on that one, I can't remember ever inventing anything, anything worth noting at least...
Nothing as clever as those man boobs. It brings a whole new meaning to "Necessity is the mother of invention!"

Cappy ~ I know, those man boobs are something aren't they! Did you see the movie "Meet The Fockers"? Robert DiNero's character had created a man boob for nursing his grandchild. haha
We will have to find you some shoe umbrellas, to keep those boat shoes dry! Ah, come on now, you are not that old! You seem young to me ;)

I invented the Beer Monster Reduction Vehicle-Power It Yourself! The is really just wearing a lot of jumpers and plastic bags to sweat a lot. I don't expect anyone to steal this invention from me somehow. You'd find it hard to give away. Hotboy
I invented the notion of "homosexual chicken" (a game of chicken practiced by straight people) and like 8 years later I saw it on scrubs.
Also, I came up with "weapons of ass destruction" way before it was used as a joke on leno. Though I'm not proud of the fact that my joke ended up on leno.

Hotboy ~ I remember you talking about this...that is a good invention. I say anything that you make up that you can use is a good invention.
Jiggs ~ I haven't heard of that game. Now I am curious, maybe you will have to explain it to me sometime. Your joke was on Leno? That tells you that you are worthy of making his kind of $$$$ That is a good thing, right?

I've never invented anything, but I'm quite sure I've come up with several TV show premises before they were finally created in some crazy boardroom.
Hi Lee Ann. I'm a keen recycler, so I occasionally invent a new use for something. E.g. when I went walking in the wilderness, I cut the bottom part off a couple of old high boots, to make them into ankle gaiters as protection against snake bites.
But what sort of inventing do you do?
I invented a song...
Not that I really invented this, but I'll use my egg slicer to slice mushrooms, because it's faster than using a knife. Then (of course) I saw somebody like Martha do it, as if she had invented the idea.
Oh well, story of my life.... dollar short, day late and last in line......
About the joke, I just wish it had been on letterman or better yet conan.

I had an idea for a cell phone that clipped to the ear; never patented it though. :(
