Some of the things I see...

I drove past the outside patio at work the other day. It is shaded with big trees. There were a group of people gathered for an outdoor meeting...I thought that was cool. I wish our company would have some of our meetings outdoors.

I walked onto my balcony yesterday. It was a bizarre scene. I found a few striplike pieces of wood lying on the table and the floor. There were about 8 large nails lying on the table, floor and the two chairs. And...there was a large wasp nest lying on the floor under one of the chairs. How did these things get there? My balcony is on the second floor and not close to any other balconies. The night before, it had rained hard with lightening and thunder, but I doubt the wind was blowing hard enough to bring these items up to my balcony and drop them. Extremely perplexing.

Someone said they saw a bobcat in the parking lot at my "castle". They said it was a large cat, almost the size of a medium dog, had full furry face and was carrying a fairly large object in it's mouth. It turned and ran up the hill into the woods with great speed. Do bobcats live in this area?

I saw a gorilla standing in the middle of the highway (on the median) yesterday. No, nevermind...when I got closer I realized it was just my eyes playing tricks on me.

This is what I thought I saw....but it wasn't! ;)

Anything unusual going on with you?
Have a great day!

Yes, there are bobcats living in this area but what in the world did you see that looked like a gorilla? Was it one of the guys that works on our interstates?? :)

i'm glad your back in the mood. i've gotten into the habit of visiting your blog daily . my day is not complete w/out reading your post .
it's like reading the comics section daily. like reading the day's horoscope , like taking vitamins regularly , like saying your prayers every night , like kissing the neighbor's wife before going to work. oooops . forget the last one .

Nothing unusual, except for the many lizards with big eyes. And they are not cute like in the Geicko (sp? automobile insurance commercials--I don't even think that animated lizard is cute).

Lee Ann said...

Coach ~ Thank you so much. I love to see you over here.
You are always welcome at the Castle.

Angel ~ Eeewwww! I know, I agree. Those lizards are not cute at all. Did you know their tails come off if you try to hold them by the tail? I saw someone do that once. UGH!

I want to know who's breaking into your place and dropping wasp nests onto the balcony!

As far as the gorilla--I hate to say it, but it's old age catching up with you. Starts going in your mid-30s though, so I'd go get your eyes checked. You're too young for that! ;-) LY

Os ~ I don't know, I really do not have any idea how the wasp nest and nails got onto my balcony! There has to be some sort of an explanation.
Oh...my eyes...they have not been so good since 3rd grade! Ugh...I don't want to hear that it only gets worse! Thank you, you are too kind. ;)

We have coyotes here in Atlanta, and sometimes you will see signs on the side of the road warning pet owners that they are in the neighborhood.

I have seen wild turkeys who were displaced by all the construction being done against the forests due to the mass building of apartment homes, and sub-divisions. We also had a few bear sightings at some of our malls, and rats.... many, many rats. Something tells me that they are attracted by the dumpsters and people food.

As far as gorillas, only at the zoo.... unless you catch me on a bad day.....

Ellen ~ We have coyotes here too. I have never seen a turkey roaming around.
As far as a gorilla, I have only seen them in the zoo. Especially one particular one...

If life stopped being unusual, THAT would be unusual.

Always something unusual with me, never the less, yes there are bobcats in the south. I've seen them before too!

Lee Ann said...

Nike ~ Oh, I have heard that he wants to!

Poly ~ It really is! Thank you Polyman.

Phats ~ You can bet if I ever see the bobcat, I will stay away from it! haha
Ok, I will remember that advice about the gorilla.

Lee Ann said...

Brad ~ No, the one is enough, thank you very much though.

Beckeye ~ You are so right!

Becky ~ Wow, I think that is amazing!

Pretty fingers. You do have Bobcats in your area. Although it's odd to see them in a built up place. There is still a great deal of woods on the outskirts of Birhgmingham. Everytime I'm there, they are disapearing, that will push exsisting game to scavenge Urban areas.

watchout for the bobcats and gorillas! You gotta be an animal expert to survive in your parts!

Lee Ann said...

App ~ Thank you so much!
That is very interesting. I had no idea. I hope I don't run across one myself!

Jiggsy ~ I know....who would of thought that?

lol that was very funny a gorilla on the highway! What was it? There is nothing strange happing in my life at the moment, just the same old same old! We often have our meeting outside, it is really much more relaxing! Have a great day and take care!

Baby doll have you been drinking again?? :-}

Lee Ann said...

nmotb ~ I know, it would have been funny if it really were a gorilla. It was a person dressed in dark clothing. I did laugh at myself after I realized.
Lucky you with your outside meetings.
You have a great day too!

Trucker ~ I don't blame you for thinking that, but honestly I wasn't! haha Geez, just think if I had been!!! ;)
